Yup 3000 is very hard to find over the counter. I special order mine when I do other people's headlights. I know for sure 1000 won't get rid of the pits 100%. I recommend using the 1000 to "spot" sand it. Try it out in small areas. If it doesn't work too well, go down to 800. I think 800 will get rid of the pits ...
